Dr Jean Devroye, MD FISHRS Co-Host (Belgium)

For over 10 years, Dr Devroye has specialised exclusively in hair restoration, which has become his passion. He uses the two FUT/FUE techniques and has even developed his own tool for extracting follicular grafts.

Dr Devroye is a member of the Board of Governors of the ISHRS, and in 2014 was the program chair for the ISHRS European Hair Transplant Workshop in Brussels. In 2005, Dr Devroye organised the annual conference of the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery at his Brussels clinic.

He is a regular participant and faculty member in various congresses and workshops around the world.

Dr Jerry Cooley, MD FISHRS (USA)

Board certified dermatologist and diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). He is a Past President of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) (2010-11) and frequent lecturer at hair transplantation conferences, and has authored numerous articles and textbook chapters in the field.

He was ISHRS program chairman for their annual scientific meeting in New York City in 2003. He was co-editor of the Hair Transplant Forum International (2005-08), the most widely read journal dedicated to hair transplantation.

He is committed to researching improvements in the field of hair restoration and has received three research grants from the ISHRS. Past Recipient of the ISHRS Platinum Follicle Award for outstanding research (2008)

Dr Márcio Crisόstomo, MD (Brazil)

After general surgery residency and plastic surgery training, Dr Crisostomo chose to dedicate a large portion of his practice to hair restoration surgery including both FUE and strip FUT.

He is a very active member of the ISHRS and has numerously served as faculty and member of various committees. In his brand new clinic in Brazil he employs a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, beauticians, nutritionists, all with the mission to provide the best in service and technology in dermatology, plastic surgery, treating baldness.

Dr Kapil Dua, MBBS, MS (India)

Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery who has been practicing this specialty exclusively for around a decade. He is President & founder member of Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons of India, Member of the Board of Governors of Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons & Member of the FUE Research Committee of the ISHRS.

Regular faculty in meetings held at Indian, Asian as well as ISHRS meetings. He was workshop director of ISHRS FUE Workshop 2015 held at Delhi & also Joint Scientific Chairman of the Asian & Indian meeting in 2013. He takes a keen interest in lowering the Follicular Transection Rate in FUE and body hair transplant.

Dr Alex Ginzburg, MD FISHRS (Israel)

Alex Ginzburg attained his medical degree in Argentina and completed his dermatology studies in Israel in 1987.

Since 1992, Dr. Ginzburg has performed over 3,500 hair transplants in Israel. Currently his main practice is mechanised FUE, but is well versed in the skills of strip FUT as well.

He is a Fellow and former Board Governor of the ISHRS, and a very active participant and faculty member of many congresses around the world. He has personally trained numerous doctors in the arts of hair transplant surgery in his clinic in Israel

Dr Patrick Mwamba, MD (Belgium)

Dr. Mwamba trained in hair surgery in 2000 and performs both Strip FUT and FUE. He believes that the two techniques are complementary and what matters the most is the final results. He believes that to better serve his patients he must master all the different techniques and aspect of hair loss.

In 2006, Dr. Mwamba started his own private medical practice in Brussels, Belgium. The practice is dedicated exclusively to hair restoration surgery and employs the finest technologies and the most cutting edge techniques

Dr Tseng-Kuo Shiao MD, FISHRS (USA)

In 2004, Dr. TK Shiao started learning hair transplant from his father Dr. I-sen Shiao, They worked together to develop innovative hair transplant techniques and technologies.

Using his training in computer science and electrical engineering, TK developed a 4D FUE system that bridges the gap between complete automation by the ARTAS robot and low level automation by existing power FUE systems.  By providing precise control of the cutting path, speed, and RPM of the traditional 2D rotary punch, 4D FUE makes the traditionally difficult to learn FUE much easier for beginner and experienced surgeons alike.

Dr Robert True, MD FISHRS (USA)

Dr True is a Diplomate and Past President of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the ISHRS. He has practiced hair restoration surgery since 1992, was one of the very early developers of FUE beginning in 2001, and is a recognized world leader in all aspects of the field including both FUE and strip FUT.

Although he is primarily a clinical practitioner, he is also an active researcher. He has presented at many major professional meetings in the US & internationally and published in professional journals and textbooks on a broad range of topics related to hair restoration. He was the Scientific Program Chair for the ISHRS Annual Scientific Meeting in 2014. He is currently Co-editor of the Hair Transplant Forum International and serves on the ISHRS Board of Governors.

Dr Arthur Tykocinski, MD FISHRS (Brazil)

Trained in hair surgery in 1995, Dr Tykocinski is one of the world’s most recognised hair transplant surgeons promoting artistry and elegance in our field. He is a prolific presenter and educator in annual meetings throughout the world

He has been a member of the ISHRS Board of Governors over the last 6 years and currently serves in the position of Treasurer. He performs both methods of donor harvesting including Robot-Assisted FUE

Dr Brad Wolf, MD FISHRS (USA)

After initially being board certified in Emergency Medicine, in 1998 he became board certified by the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. Since 1990, Dr. Wolf has practiced surgical hair restoration exclusively and is considered a world leader in both FUT and FUE techniques

He has presented over 35 lectures at meetings and workshops throughout the world and is the author of the Anaesthesia chapter in the 5th Edition of Hair Transplantation textbook. He is an active Fellow of the ISHRS and is a current member of the ISHRS CME committee.

Dr Nilofer Farjo MB ChB, FISHRS (UK)

Nilofer is Fellow & past Hair Transplant Forum Editor of the ISHRS, and Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS). Most recently she was the Program Chair of the Annual Scientific Meeting of the ISHRS held in Chicago in 2015. She is also the current Treasurer and Board Member of the European Hair Research Society (EHRS).

In 2012, she was the joint recipient of the ISHRS Platinum Follicle Award for outstanding contribution to hair related scientific research. She performs manual, mechanised and robotic FUE, as well strip FUT. She is widely published and boasts 23 years of experience in the field.

 

Dr Rachael Kay MB ChB (UK)

Rachael is an active member of the ISHRS, and the Royal College of General Practitioners with a post graduate diploma in Dermatology. She trained at the Farjo Hair Institute in 2013 for a full year before joining our medical staff as a hair transplant surgeon. She performs both manual and mechanised FUE.

Dr Greg Williams MBBS, FISHRS (UK)

Greg had a 10-year distinguished career as a consultant plastic burns surgeon at one of London’s major trauma centres. He started performing hair transplants in 2005, before joining Farjo Hair Institute in 2012 on a full time basis. He is a Fellow of the ISHRS and chair of its Bylaws & Ethics Committee. He is also the current President of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery. He performs both strip FUT and FUE both manual and Robotic.

Sara Roberts RN (UK)

Sara joined Farjo way back in 1996 as a registered nurse and hair transplant technician. Over the years she developed into a cornerstone of the practice and a true advocate of our methods and philosophy.
Today she is responsible for the smooth everyday running of the operating suites and the recruitment and ongoing training of the surgical staff.
